Goliathus goliatus quadrimaculatus: Murano glass beetle made with the technique of lampworking.
Each insect is sold in a black wooden frame. This collectible animal is a realistic replica, faithful in colour and shape.
The lampworking technique is kept alive today by very few Venetian masters and the objects produced are characterised by the very fine, smooth glass forged by hand using an open flame. The transparent or opaque colour combinations are fused using different semi-finished glass ‘rods’.
Being handmade, each piece is unique in its details.
